RIP Sue Mehaffey – A life well lived
Our Cheerleader has left the Field . . . but she will continue cheering for us from the Skybox. Sue Mehaffey wore many hats, but the one she is wearing in the photo below was one of her favorites. It spoke volumes about who she was – fun, all-inclusive, bright, and citizen of the world. Sue was a teacher and a leader. She taught by example and lead with joy. She had a unique way of bringing out the best in those around her by cheering their efforts and lifting them up. She could & would talk to anyone she met, even if there was a language difference. Her warmth made people feel comfortable around her and generated friendships all around the world.
As a teacher, Sue went on an OSCA trip to Shizuoka, Japan. She was hooked! For many years she served on the OSCA Board of Directors and as Chair of the Coordinating Council. She was often called our “Energizer Bunny”, because she was at all of the events and activities. She had a special devotion to the students.
There will be many memories shared about Sue and they all define a Life Well Lived.

If you are able to attend, please consider wearing color instead of black. The following quote is from Sue’s daughter, Sarah. “My mom asked one thing of those who are able to attend: if you are able and feel comfortable wear color. She did not want everyone in black and lived life in full color, so thank you in advance for helping us honor this request”.
For those who are unable to attend Sue’s Memorial Service, her family and church have set up a Livestream. The Livestream will start at 10:45 AM. The link to view the Livestream of the service is: https://youtu.be/T4cqkYWCEjA
